BRUNEI, 1st October 2021 – Taking place in the month of October, the ASEAN Summit Brunei 2021 will be hosted by and taking place in the beautiful country of Brunei Darussalam. In previous years, dignitaries were treated to the beautiful and peaceful scenery of the ASEAN countries. However, due to the recent Corona pandemic, the event will be held virtually for the second year running as they discuss matters relating to the economic and developmental growth of their countries.
For this project, IPSB Technology partners with Amazon Web Services to provision the summit’s MEDIA page with our Digital Media OTT solution powered by AWS Cloud Delivery Network (CDN), CloudFront, and EC2. Guests are able to view this virtual event and download media via ESASDrive. The opening ceremony took place via video conferencing beginning with the opening remarks by the ASEAN Chair, The Honourable Dato Erywan Pehin Yusof, Minister of Foreign Affairs II of Brunei Darussalam during the 28th ASEAN Regional Forum.
ESAS, which stands for “Enterprise Storage Archiving System”, is a Managed Service cloud storage and computing system/server which allows for the archiving of all the raw materials.
The ASEAN Summit is a biannual meeting held by the members of the, Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), an inter-governmental organisation of ten Southeast Asian countries which include Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, to discuss matters in relation to economic, political, security, and socio-cultural development of Southeast Asian countries.
In addition, it serves as a prominent regional and international conference, with world leaders attending its related summits and meetings to discuss various problems and global issues, strengthening cooperation, and making decisions (Hew, 2005) (Morallo, 2017).
