Bringing Merdeka to Every Malaysian: How IPSB Technology Powered RTMKlik’s 360° Live Parade Experience
On 31 August 2025, Malaysians will gather at Dataran Putrajaya to celebrate Malaysia’s 68th Independence Day. Themed “Malaysia MADANI: Rakyat Disantuni,” the 2025 Merdeka Parade will be a powerful showcase of unity and honor. Beyond the on-ground festivities, this year also marks a historic milestone in digital broadcasting. For the very first time, Malaysians will be able to experience the parade in immersive 360° live streaming on RTMKlik, powered by IPSB Technology.
Together with RTM, our goal is to make the Merdeka Parade accessible to all Malaysians, regardless of distance, circumstances, or physical limitations. Many people—the elderly, those with disabilities, or Malaysians abroad may not have the opportunity to be physically present at Dataran Putrajaya. With our streaming solutions, these audiences will still be able to join the celebration, not just as spectators but as participants. Through RTMKlik Live 360, they will be able to look around, control their perspective, and feel as though they are standing right there on the parade route.
Behind this experience lies IPSB Technology’s end-to-end expertise in streaming and digital infrastructure. Upon receiving the raw parade feed, our team will process the data using our advanced encoding and compression systems. This will enable a seamless integration with the RTMKlik platform, ensuring comprehensive nationwide access. Our real-time encoding will ensure optimized video quality for smooth playback across all devices from smartphones and tablets to desktops while our Content Delivery Network (CDN) solution will guarantee fast, reliable, and scalable delivery for thousands of simultaneous viewers across the country. By embedding interactive features like 360° controls into RTMKlik’s web application, we will transform the broadcast into an immersive digital experience.

- Amazon Web Services (AWS) is providing the robust CDN backbone through its global cloud infrastructure. AWS ensures that the Merdeka 360° stream will be secure, scalable, and highly resilient, capable of handling spikes in traffic without compromising performance. Their distributed network of servers will deliver content closer to viewers across Malaysia, reducing latency and buffering, while maintaining the high quality expected of a national broadcast.
- Bitmovin brings its cutting-edge video player technology, designed for adaptive streaming and interactivity. Their player enables viewers to switch perspectives effortlessly, enjoy smooth playback even under varying internet conditions, and engage with the stream in ways traditional players cannot. By supporting both desktop and mobile web with advanced features, Bitmovin elevates the 360° experience into something intuitive and user-friendly.
Together with AWS and Bitmovin, IPSB Technology transformed what could have been a standard livestream into a world-class digital-first celebration.
The true impact of this solution will be felt by the audience. For families unable to travel, it will be an opportunity to celebrate together from home.
